River Glade Archers

Congratulations to all these archers who have completed their Beginner's Course today. Welcome to the wonderful world of archery.

Reminder: Interclub/ECBOPAA Shoot tomorrow morning @ 9:30am. We had wins for both the A team and the B team last month for the InterClub, so lets maintain the momentum.

A very enjoyable day yesterday as RGA hosted the second ECBOPAA Field Champs leg in the ECBOPAA Championship. We lacked a photographer to take some snaps, but it was still fun. Maybe we will see you here in 2027.
Next on the agenda for the ECBOPAA Championship will be the Rosebowl in Tauranga on 9th May.
Thanks to Kenny, Sarah, Sue, Bernie and Jesse for getting the field range ready, setting up the field range and then packing it all down again. Plus a HUGE THANKS to Graham for all the work he does to have his farm ready and available to host our Field events.

Congratulations to all the RGA members who braved the weather this week to compete in the Archery NZ National Outdoor Target Championships. What a test of resilience and character that was. Results can be found at: https://sites.google.com/archery.org.nz/results/2026-anz-outdoor
But special congrats to the following in the Target Championships: Phoenix - Gold U16s BB; Riku - Gold Open Mens Compound; Lisa Walker - Bronze Open Women's Compound and Vicky Rombouts - Bronze Open Women's BB.
In the Mixed Teams Matchplay, Vicky also picked up the Bronze in the 50m BB
There were lots of other good placings (4ths, 5ths, 7ths, etc) from the other RGA archers in the individual and mixed teams Matchplay.
In the soaking wet Clout: Phoenix won the U16 BB, Cathy won the Development BB, and some good placings by Sarah and Vicky.

Again, excellent work RGA archers. Congratulations on surviving the horrendous conditions to compete at all, let alone do as well as you did. (I enjoyed watching the results come in from the comfort of my chair inside a warm, dry house.)
