Had the pleasure of running a Wananga with our Maori Women's Welfare League Whatawhata Branch on the weekend.
Mihi to all the whanau who attended the wananga and took part in creating your very own taonga, a whaanau treasure in support of keeping our babies safe from SUDI.
Mihi nui ki a koutou.

Te Ropu Wahine Maori Toko I Te Ora Hui-a-tau. Last week we had the priviledge of attending the National Maori Womens Welfare League as active members of the Tainui Whatawhata Branch held in Auckland at the Ellerslie Race Course over the next 4 days. Powhiri was held at the Orakei Marae Ngati Whatua. An overwhelming opportunity and experience to be apart of the conference and to meet new people, as well as catching up with good friends. The Whatawhata Branch had the pleasure of bringing home the Te Puia Trophy as the overall winner of the annual report and a few other awesome and well achieved awards. I would recommend all to join up with your local branch in your area and get involved on this fabulous positive waka.
