Friends and family of Fred Claydon are having a get together at Frankton Railway Bowling Club next Friday 25 September from 3pm. This is an opportunity for all of us who knew him to come together and share memories of how he touched our lives. Some food will be provided and any other contributions will be most welcome
Sadly Fred Claydon one of our life members passed away yesterday. Apparently the family are having a private service for Fred but we will keep you informed when more information is received. RIP Fred you will be greatly missed, particularly by your Friday afternoon buddies.
Club champs 4's results played today
Only 3 teams faced the starter for the Mens event. In the first round G Cotter defeated D Meinung's team which meant should Gary win the second round against the Alan Bowler skipped team then Gary's team would come out the winner. This is what eventuated as Gary's team scraped home by a point 12-11.
Winning team was Cotter(s),Posa,Lourie,Knox
This concludes Railways championships for the season, and indeed it could be the last club competition on the site as the future of the club on the existing site days seem to be numbered.
