A Reminder About Practice at Our Track 🏁

After visiting the track following this past weekend’s practice, it’s unfortunately clear that some of the hard work our volunteers have put into maintaining and improving our facility has been undone.

A few important reminders for everyone using the track:

🔧 Kerb hopping — excessive kerb hopping has damaged the work recently completed on our new kerbs, as well as the grass repairs around the track.

🛞 Crash bags — we have found crash bags that have been hit, moved and not reinstated. This creates a potential safety hazard for the next person using the facility. If you move or hit a crash bag, please put it back where it belongs.

🏎️ Mixing of classes — this has also been identified during practice. This is not based on rumours or hearsay; it has been highlighted through our track and grid cameras.

When you practice at KartSport Hamilton, you sign up and agree to follow the practice requirements. A reminder that:

You sign up and agree to only practice in your racing class

We operate our practice sessions in a high-trust environment, and we want to continue being able to provide that opportunity to our members.

Please be mindful of how you and your drivers use the facility. A huge amount of time, effort and volunteer work goes into keeping our track safe and maintained for everyone to enjoy.

Let’s all do our part to respect the facility, the volunteers who maintain it, and the next person who comes out to practice.

Thanks to everyone who helped out at our Working Bee last weekend!! 🐝

Was great to get out and get the chores done. Drivers, Parents and Guardians all got stuck in

📣 As we continue to make the Kart track what we think is the best in the country, this will result in the track being closed for practice this weekend 📣

Working Bee at XPEL Raceway!

On Saturday 27th June at 8am we will be holding a working bee at the club to address the following items:
🐝 Re-cover crash bags
🐝 Fence repairs
🐝 Curb repairs and modifications
🐝 Bamboo removal
🐝 Other miscellaneous tasks

We aim to have all tasks to be completed by 12pm, followed by a BBQ lunch, free practice for anyone who helped with the working bee and then the bar will open later in the day.

Congrats to Kartsport Hamilton driver Seb Grant for winning the Rok Cup series in Cadet!!!!

Congratulations to previous Kartsport Hamilton member and club champion on another prestigious award! 🏆
Our flying kiwi Matt Payne was last night recognised for his efforts on and off the track at the NZ Motorsport Awards
Matt took away the Jim Clark trophy which is awarded to a NZ driver who competes at a national level or higher for not just their driving but sportsmanship too!

Matt is busy racing in Tasmania this weekend so his parents accepted his award on his behalf- what an honour 🙌

Well done and congratulations to Matt and his family on taking away such an award!
