Hamilton Golf Club - St Andrews, Hamilton, NZ Hamilton Golf Club began in 1903 and moved to St Andrews where the current course opened in 1913 Our most renown would have to be the par 3 18th.

The St Andrews course was opened in April 1913, and while originally an inland links style course, today it is more picturesque with some holes bordering the mighty Waikato River. None more so the challenging par 5 fourth hole, a short dogleg giving the player many options on the drive and second shot, but the river is always lurking to catch the wayward shot. While protected by bunkers surrounding the green that catch any shot lacking in direction and distance, it's the 2.8 metre deep front bunker that's most intimidating. St Andrews of Hamilton has proudly hosted numerous top amateur & professional events, including open championships prior to 1980, Men's & Women's National Amateur events, the 32nd Queens Sirikit Cup in 2010 and the annual Brian Perry Classic Pro-Am.

Great company, lovely golf and a trophy to top it off! 🏌️‍♀️🏆

Last Monday, it was our turn to welcome the lovely ladies from Royal Auckland and Grange Golf Club to Hamilton St Andrews Golf Club for our annual Interclub competition.

What a fantastic day of friendly rivalry, plenty of laughs and enjoying each other’s company. Of course, one team had to claim the trophy… Congratulations to our St Andrews ladies, who took it out this year! 👏

A special shout-out to our captain, Debbie Dingwall, and our organiser for the day, Judith Wake, for all their work in making it such an enjoyable day for everyone. Thank you, ladies! 💚

A wonderful event to be part of, whether playing for the first time or returning for another year. We’re already looking forward to visiting Royal Auckland and Grange next year!

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the day so special. Well done, ladies!

A Birthday Afternoon at Hamilton Golf Club – St Andrews 🎉⛳

Last Saturday, I had the pleasure of welcoming a lovely group of ladies—some of whom follow our page—for a few holes at Hamilton Golf Club – St Andrews as part of Adrienne’s birthday celebrations.

After seeing and hearing so much about our beautiful course, they decided it would be the perfect place to spend the afternoon enjoying some golf, sharing plenty of laughs 😄 and relaxing together in the clubhouse afterwards. 🥂

Here at St Andrews, we believe golf doesn’t always have to be serious. It’s also about having fun, bringing people together and making our non-golfers and visitors feel welcome—and these ladies certainly embraced that spirit! 💙

From their golf swings and time on the greens to the fun group photos and laughter along the way, it was a wonderful afternoon filled with friendship, connection and plenty of memorable moments. 😊

The ladies enjoyed themselves so much that they’ve already decided to make it a yearly visit. We loved having this fun bunch at the club and look forward to welcoming them back again! 🏌️‍♀️

💙 Dr Neal Turner Memorial Jug 🤍

What a truly special day we had on Saturday as family, friends and fellow golfers came together to remember and celebrate our much-loved friend, Dr Neal Turner. ⛳️💙
The clubhouse was full, the laughter was flowing and there were plenty of wonderful memories shared throughout the day. It was exactly the kind of occasion Neal would have loved-great golf from some of you 😁, good company and everyone enjoying themselves.
A huge congratulations to our overall winners, Simon Brandon & Murray Gutry, pictured receiving Neal's Memorial Jug alongside his daughters, Robin & Adrienne. 🏆👏
A heartfelt thank you to Neal's family for joining us and making the day so meaningful, and to everyone who played, helped out or came along to show their support. 💙🤍
Neal may no longer be walking the fairways with us, but his memory, friendship and love of the game will always remain a special part of Hamilton Golf Club - St Andrews. 💙⛳️
A beautiful day for a wonderful man who will never be forgotten! 💙🤍
