For those who missed it - after 12yrs of service Leap is closing its doors with our final Leap & Laser day on Sunday 19 July 2026.

Because our staff are in the process of creating “life after Leap” the best possible outcome for us is to make amendments to our shop hours.

We are OPEN everyday:

10AM - 5PM
Monday | Tuesday | Wednesday | Thursday | Friday | Saturday | Sunday.

Our final party bookings are from 3pm each day.

Our last trampoline session booking is from 4pm each day.

Our last laser tag session bookings are from 4.30pm each day.

With a full heart and immense gratitude, I’m sharing that I have made the decision to close LEAP.

On Sunday 19 July 2026, LEAP & Megazone Hamilton will close its doors and say its final goodbye. Coincidentally, it happens the day before my 40th birthday—an end of an era for LEAP and the beginning of a new decade for me.

What began as a dream became something real.

Over the past years I’ve had the privilege of owning and operating a family entertainment centre, creating a place where children could laugh, families could connect, and memories could be made. As a mum of five and an educator of more than 20 years, I can honestly say this has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.

For years, I imagined walking into a place like this with my own children. I dreamed of building something our whānau could be part of and working alongside my teenagers. To then have the opportunity to do that alongside my big brother, Matua Ez, made the experience even more special.

LEAP challenged me, stretched me, and taught me more than I ever expected. I am incredibly proud of what we built and the impact it had on so many families and local schools & community groups.

As I look ahead, I know the next stage of growth for LEAP requires significant investment and change. As a sole owner, that’s beyond what I can realistically commit to, and after much reflection, I’ve chosen to close this chapter and pursue new opportunities.

There is no sadness in this decision, only gratitude.

Gratitude for every family who visited, every child who celebrated with us, every staff member who contributed, and every person who supported us along the way.

I had a dream.
I pursued it.
I lived it.
And I loved it.

If LEAP has been part of your family’s story, we’d love to welcome you back one more time. Come for a final play session, laser tag game, party, ice cream, or slushy. Bring your whānau, bring your friends, and help us celebrate everything LEAP has been while making a few more memories together.

Our final trading day will be Sunday 19 July 2026, and we’d love to spend these last few weeks with the community that made it all worthwhile.
