Kia ora gym family. We are aware there is currently a power outage at the gym. We suspect it is linked to Mainpower doing work at the Pools. We apologise for the inconvenience and hopefully it's restored soon.

Morning all.

It seems the heat-pumps have a mind of their own - they keep turning off automatically, even after a hard re-set.

So, the remotes are now back. We ask you to PLEASE be considerate to other members when using them - freezing outside? They should be on. Mild day with the sun pouring in? No need to be a sauna in there. There is no reason for them ever to be at 30 degrees - if you feel the need for this, jump on the treadmill😉

We apologise for the issues here and appreciate your understanding.

Hey gym family.

We have been having a few problems with how the heat-pumps having been used during these very cold winter days we have been having. To combat this, we have decided to leave them on a set temperature (around 15 degrees) so that the gym doesn't get freezing cold, and therefore there is no need to blast them up to 30.

We ask please that you do NOT touch the remotes, the units themselves, or the switchboard. We have tried to find a temperature which keeps everyone happy enough.

A member has misplaced their AirPods case tonight (Monday about 5.30-6pm). These cases all look the same so we are wondering if someone has picked the case up accidentally.

If so can you please flick us a message and we will arrange for them to be retrieved.

The Gym Committee would like to say a huge thank you to Andy and the team from Hanmer Alpine Electrical and Air Conditioning Ltd for their excellent work fitting the gym out with heatpumps/AC and a wall fan. Taking the chill off in the winter and keeping us cool in the summer is integral to our members having the best possible workout💪 we truly appreciate the support this local business has always shown the gym🙌

A big shoutout to Karrie who regularly comes in and keeps the gym looking awesome and clean – we really appreciate it! 🙌

If your shoes are a bit muddy over the cooler and wetter months, take 5 seconds to give them a quick wipe on the front mat – it makes a huge difference and helps keep the space clean for everyone. Mud is super tricky to get off the gym mats.
