It is with great sadness that we advise the snooker community of the unexpected passing of our friend and fellow snooker player, Ian Kennedy.
Ian passed away unexpectedly at 11.15am today, Friday 25th September, at Tauranga Hospital.
Ian was also a respected snooker referee, generously giving his time, knowledge and experience to the sport.
For Ian, snooker was about much more than the game itself. Over many years, he formed friendships and connections with players, referees and clubs throughout the Bay of Plenty and further afield. He will be remembered as a familiar face around the snooker table and as a valued part of the wider snooker family.
More information will be passed on as soon as we are able.
Rest in Peace, Ian
