Private cricket coaching - Juniors

We are fortunate as a Club to have some of the best players and coaches in HB. These include Joey Field, Brad Schmulian, Will Clark and Taylor Bettelheim who are all CD Stags, Flora Devonshire (White Fern & CD Hind), Harsh*t Seth (contracted UAE Player for 2026/27).

Smash Play - Intro to cricket

Smash play for Year 0 to 3 (to be run in Term 4 & Term 1).

We will again run this programme in Havelock North, using the Havelock North Primary School artificial turf. The sessions are on a Monday and Wednesday from 3.20 to 4.15pm. We offer two days to give families more flexibility.

It will be a 6 week programme using the amazing Smash Play cricket tools and will be run by our Club Overseas Pro, another visiting Overseas player and others as required.

If you know of any kids who would like to join please give them my contact details. It is heaps of fun and the kids love it. The final session includes a lolly scramble.

Term 4, 2026

Mondays - 2/11, 9/11, 16/11, 23/11, 30/11 & 7/12

Wednesdays - 4/11, 11/11, 18/11, 25/11, 2/12 & 9/12

Term 1, 2027

Friday night Junior coaching - 2026/27

We are continuing to run this very successful coaching programme before and after Christmas.

Our Club pros and senior men and women will be helping to run most of these sessions. We will also have 2 or 3 of our High school players coming along to help coach on Fridays.

We have heaps of cool prizes for these sessions this season. At this stage we are looking to run these sessions on the following dates:

4.30pm to 6.00pm

- all Juniors coaching (boys and girls Year 3 to 8/9/10)

VENUE - Guthrie Park on Guthrie Road, Havelock North.

We have again been invited by the HN Wanderers Football Club to use their Clubrooms and facilities while the Junior coaching sessions are running. We currently do not have access to the Rugby Clubrooms at Anderson Park, due to the cost to do so.

The Football Club will open the clubrooms, bar and kitchen and provide outdoor seating and umbrellas for parents and families to utilise while they wait and watch. There will be a full range of cold drinks available as well as some hot food and snacks. I am sure this will add a great social element for families and for the Club.
