…and we have found our winners for the 2026/27 Handicap Pairs - Heather Davison and Wayne Rogers in what was a final of the highest quality in VERY difficult and uncomfortable conditions later in the afternoon.

Horrendous wind this morning, then sun followed by more rain and more rain.

Very well played Wayne and Heather - but notable performance also from Emily Dorricott in her very first taste of competition bowls.

VERY windy tough conditions today proving very challenging. Some very good bowls being played by all.

A chilly windy day today for qualifying of the first Club event for the new season - the Handicap Pairs.

Included in the field were new members Warren Feek, Daniel Hughes, CJ Shepherd and Emily Dorricott. A big welcome to them - we hope you enjoyed your day.

The handicapper was spot on - with most games going right to the wire.

…and just like that a new season has begun.

Opening Day of the 2026/27 season was held today, and commenced with Life Members Stu Settle and Bev Corbett rolling the first Jack and bowl (respectively) to get the new season underway.

Those in attendance enjoyed a couple of games of bowls and a pot luck lunch, followed by presentation of Centre Certificates and Awards from 2025/26 season by John Mead.

Unfortunately there were a couple of award recipients absent today - one of them being Paul Casey Jnr who earned his Gold Star in the Men’s Champion of Champions Fours. A real milestone for Paul, and we will have a special presentation for him at a later date.
