🏐 GET YOUR TEAM READY β€” VOLLEYBALL SEASON IS ALMOST HERE! 🏐

Grab your friends and get a team together β€” our summer volleyball series is back and kicking off soon!

Run by DWC Westland Sports Hub, played on Wednesday evenings at the DWC Sports Hub gymnasium. Our summer series runs for 12 weeks β€” a great chance to have fun with your mates or put together a new team just for the enjoyment of it!

Whether you're an experienced player or just want to learn, we've got you covered β€” teams are graded by skill level so everyone gets a fair, fun game. This is recreational volleyball, so we ask everyone to play with a good, positive, and healthy attitude.

πŸ“… Scoping / Grading weeks: 23 & 30 September πŸ“… Season starts: 7 October πŸ“ Place: DWC Sports Hub gymnasium πŸ•’ Timing: Matches start at 5:30pm, 6:00pm, 6:45pm, or 7:30pm β€” varying according to the draw

πŸ”Ή Competition draws: To be finalised after the scoping/grading weeks

πŸ’° ENTRY FEES: $120 per team Please pay directly to the DWC Westland Sports Hub account: 123166-0276983-50 Use your TEAM NAME as the reference. Payments must be completed in full by 3rd October.

πŸ‘₯ TEAM MAKEUP: 6 players on court at any one time (2 of whom must be female), with a squad of up to 12 players allowing for rolling substitutes (generally at service change-over).

⚽️ Westland United is gearing up for the season! ⚽️

Westland United Football Club is the local senior football team for the Westland district β€” and we’re coming in hot after winning the West Coast Knockout Cup last year (our first in 25 years!) and finishing 2nd in the league. πŸ”₯πŸ†

The league kicks off in April (16-game season), and we’re always keen to welcome new players. Whether you can play one game or the whole season, there’s a spot for you.

🏐 Buller Blockade 2026 – Westport
The 2026 Buller Blockade is headed your way and will be played at PERC, Westport on Sunday, 15 March.

There are Competitive Men’s and Women’s grades and a Social Mixed grade, so there’s something for everyone.

The Hokitika Volleyball Club is planning to take part, and we’d love more players to join us!
