West Coast Badminton

It was lovely to have a visit from Claire this week. A great opportunity to share some of our struggles and learnings.

Tough afternoon tie against Otago who will take the trophy home tonight 🏆. Some good games had though, the West Coast Veterans team played well. Congratulations to Kerry Cropp, Hoani Weaver, Boyd Molloy, Robyn Ritchie, Kay Mitchell and Anne Manera. Very entertaining badminton.

Veterans morning tie against Canterbury this morning. Some great games. A couple could have gone the other way. 6-3 to Canterbury.

South Island Veterans tournament kicked off tonight at 5.30pm. Our West Coast team had some awesome and close games clinching the win against South a Canterbury by five matches to four.

We’ve had heaps of new junior and senior players jump on board lately (which is awesome!), but it means our stash of spare adult sized rackets is running pretty low.

Got an old racket lying around gathering dust? We’d love to take it off your hands so our new players can use it!
