A huge thank you to Iain and Ryan at Southland Football and all the volunteers who helped make the Lotto Sportswear Girls Football Tournament a huge success during a wet and wild winter tournament week.

To all the schools who competed - thank you for your sportsmanship, your energy and football skills and the amazing camaraderie throughout the week.

Southland Secondary School Sport throughly enjoyed working with Southland Football to bring this tournament to Invercargill. We look forward to hosting you all in the South again soon.

💥News flash💥

Liam Johnstone, Copper Gow, Jack Horrell, Cooper Robertson and William Devery from SBHS have achieved a remarkable result at the final of the ILT Postal Shoot held earlier this term.

All 5 boys shot a perfect score, with all possible targets being hit. These young men have made history by being the first school team since the event started 18 years ago to do such a thing.

Congratulations boys, what an impressive result.

Southland Boys' High School Sport

A fantastic finals night took place at the Southland Small-bore R***e Club last night.
The club hosted the Southland Secondary Schools Small-bore R***e Champs. The club was a buzz with 24 students competing for a podium finish.
Thank you to the club members, coaches and managers who offer their time for the youth of their clubs, you are the unsung hero’s and we appreciate all you do.
Congratulations to the students who competed in the finals night and a special congratulations to those who finished in the top three.

Target Shooting Southland

What a fantastic day at the Badminton Champs! 🏸 With a full draw, the courts were buzzing from start to finish. Players displayed incredible skill, effort, and sportsmanship, making for some exciting matches throughout the day.

The battle for the top three spots in both the boys' and girls' divisions was competitive, with plenty of great badminton on display.

A big shout-out to Peter from Badminton Southland for all his hard work behind the scenes and on the day to help make the event such a success. Thanks to the ILT for their support of this event.

What a fantastic day of Ki O Rahi at ILT Stadium Southland

Our first event of the term saw 8 teams battle it out for the Mixed and Boys trophies, showcasing incredible skill, teamwork, and determination throughout the day. It was awesome to see teams grow in confidence, sharpen their tactics, and lift their game with every match.

The smiles, laughter, and energy on the court said it all, everyone had a blast playing this fast-paced and exciting sport! 😄👏

A huge thank you to Greg, Chloe and Amelia for officiating and sharing their expertise with our teams. Your support and guidance were greatly appreciated. 🙌

Shoutout also to all our team coaches and managers who stepped in to help officiate during games. Your contribution helped make the day a success, and you did an amazing job! 👏
