Things you catch yourself saying coming into the final month of prep.

‘I’ll have that next week’ about literally everything.

‘Is it cheat meal time yet’ at increasingly random hours of the day.

Explaining to people why you’re checking the mirror again, for the fourth time today.

Getting genuinely excited about vegetables in a way that would have seemed unhinged four months ago.

If any of this sounds familiar, you’re deep in it too.

Here’s what a normal training day actually looks like right now in prep.

I like to get a lot of my cardio out of the way in the morning as I have 85 minutes at the moment with 14k steps. I have to time everything around food right now to keep energy levels up to make sure I get the very most out of my training.

I absolutely love this, it’s hard but it’s worth the hard work and sacrifice. Oh yea I wear a oodie, I’m freezing 🥶 24/7 😂

This is what the process actually looks like day to day.

This is prep. 💪

Starting online coaching doesn’t mean starting from scratch.

A lot of people hold off because they think they need to be fitter, leaner, or more experienced before it’s worth reaching out. That’s backwards.

Wherever you’re starting from is exactly where the programme gets built from. Complete beginner or years of experience, the plan adjusts to you, not the other way around.

The only thing that actually needs to be in place is being ready to be consistent with it.

If you’ve been waiting for the right moment to start, send me a DM and let’s talk about what that could look like for you.

Why “all or nothing” thinking is the fastest way to quit.

One missed meal turns into skipping the whole day of eating properly. One missed session turns into skipping the whole week. Nothing went wrong except the story you told yourself about it.

Progress was never actually about being perfect. It was about staying close to the plan more often than not, and getting back to it quickly when something slips.

The people who stay consistent long term are not the ones who never have a bad day. They are the ones who don’t let one bad day turn into a bad month.

Drop the all or nothing thinking. It’s costing you more than the thing you’re actually worried about.

Just under 5 weeks left in prep. Here’s what’s changed.

Five weeks out now, going on 4 and This is where things start to feel genuinely tough, physically and mentally.

Energy is low most days. Hunger doesn’t really go away anymore. Sleep matters more than ever, and so does staying on top of the small things.

But the changes are obvious now too. Everything that’s been done consistently for the past fourteen weeks is showing.

Five weeks to go. Getting real from here.

Why online coaching might fit your life better than you think.

No commute to a gym at a set time. Training around your actual schedule, whether that’s early mornings, late nights, or somewhere in between.

Still full accountability, still a programme built specifically around you, still regular contact with your coach.

For a lot of people, it ends up being more consistent than in person training, simply because it removes the barriers that make people skip sessions in the first place.

If your schedule has been the thing holding you back, send me a DM and let’s talk about what it’d look like for you.

A few missed sessions is not the same as starting over.

Life happens. Work gets busy, sleep gets disrupted, sometimes you just need a rest. Missing a session or two doesn’t erase the weeks or months you’ve put in before it.

This isn’t a short term fix you’re either doing perfectly or failing at. It’s a lifestyle. Lifestyles have bad weeks. That’s normal.

The people who actually see results long term aren’t the ones who never miss a session. They’re the ones who don’t let a missed session turn into a missed month.

Don’t kick yourself over it. Just get back to it.

What I actually eat and when, and why it’s changing as prep gets harder.

Meals are getting smaller and more spaced out as calories come down further. Protein stays high, it’s non negotiable at this stage. Everything else gets adjusted around training and energy needs.

Timing matters more now too. Food around training sessions specifically, to make sure there’s enough fuel to actually perform.

It’s not glamorous eating at this point. It’s functional. Every meal has a reason behind it.

As things get leaner, expect to see more of this side of things, less polished, more real.

Coaches have coaches. Here’s why that matters.

Even people who know exactly what to do still benefit from someone else holding them accountable, checking their blind spots, and keeping them on track.

It’s not about not knowing what to do. It’s about having someone in your corner who isn’t emotionally attached to the outcome, who can see what you can’t see about your own training and habits.

If the people who do this for a living still invest in coaching, that says something about how valuable outside accountability actually is.

Training with intent versus just going through the motions.

One looks like checking a box, moving through sets without really thinking about what you’re doing.

The other looks like being present in every rep, focused on the muscle, the tempo, the form, actually trying to get better each session.

Same number of sets. Same number of reps. Completely different results over time.

If training has felt like it’s stalled lately, this is worth looking at before anything else.
