This Wednesday, the Ranfurly Shield will make its long-awaited arrival in the valley.
It will be visiting a couple of our local kura, accompanied by some of our Northland Rugby Taniwha Players, before coming to Simson Park for all of our community to get up close to this iconic symbol of provincial rugby in NZ.

United Kawakawa Rugby are deeply saddend to hear of the sudden passing of former player and committe member Tony Reti.

Tony played for United Kawakawa through the 70's, 80's and 90's and during that time he also sat on the club committee at various times. He was a mate to many and a real cheeky hua to those he knew he could wind up.

Tony's legacy still lives on at the club today with his moko's playing junior rugby at the club.

Our love, thoughts and prayers now sit with Lesley and the whanau pani as they navigate through the next few days and beyond.

The Man 💚🖤

On behalf of the Kerikeri Rugby Club Committee it is with great sadness and a heavy heart that we share the news of the passing of one of the greatest our club has ever known...

Brian Mather passed away at home on Friday night. A battle, this time around, lost much faster than any of us expected.

As treasurer of the committee, he was someone we all trusted and relied on but as we all know he was much more than that in his commitment to our committee, members, sponsors, players present /past, club and wider region.

A final farewell for Brian Mather 'BM' will commence on Wednesday at 2:00 PM at the Kerikeri Rugby Club..

Followed by after match.

There will be a spit roast on to serve with buns and salads.

Brian is a champion of and for the Kerikeri Rugby Club that selflessly gave for years for the betterment of our rugby community and will be treasured, not forgotten.

Our thoughts are with his wife, daughters, family and friends at this time.

Northland Rugby Development Lead, Boris Jurlina, will be taking an Associate Referee course.
This course is for anyone! Coaches, managers, players, parents of junior players etc. The course is designed to give you the necessary tools, skills and confidence to get out and ref a game of rugby!
