Join us as we celebrate an amazing athletics season and recognise all of our incredible athletes! We will be sharing kai together and presenting certificates to acknowledge everyone’s hard work, effort, and achievements throughout the season. Along with some fun and games.

• Ages 7+ years: Please bring something savoury

This is a great chance to come together as a club, celebrate our tamariki, and finish the season on a high. We would love to see all our athletics whānau there.

🏃‍♂️ Results Night – Session 2 🏃‍♀️

We’re back for Session 2 of our Results Nights! 🔥

This week the focus is on High Jump and Discus, giving our athletes another chance to record their official results and keep building on their progress.

Whether you’re aiming for a new PB or just keen to give it a go, come down and get involved 💪

Let’s keep the momentum going and make it another awesome night of athletics!

Congratulations to the team who competed at the final competition for the season, the children's champs in Hamilton.
They all did well and there were some personal best achieved.

Tonight we kick off our first Results Night of the season!

We will be measuring Shot Put and Long Jump, giving our athletes the chance to record their official distances and see how they are progressing.

Come along, give it a go, and see if you can set a new PB! 💪

🧁💛 Kawerau Athletics Club Bake Sale 💛🧁

Club members if you’re able to support, we would love any home baking dropped off to our stand outside Kawerau New World at 9:30am on Sunday, 9th March.

Every little bit helps us continue providing opportunities for our tamariki.

Please come down and support the kaupapa.

Well done to the team who participated at the Bellevue/ Greerton ribbon day yesterday in Tauranga.

Emily 1st Discus, 2nd 100m, 3rd shot put, 3rd 200m
Terrance 3rd 60m, 4th 100m
Luna 2nd 100m, 3rd 200m
Noah 3rd 60m, 4th 100m, 4th 200m

They also managed to compete in a 4x100m relay, they ran cleanly around the track and gained 1st for their efforts.

Finally, many Person bests were also achieved

Well done team.

This week we were fortunate enough to have Kim Mickle join us for club night. Our athletes focussed on Shot Put techniques, and then our competitive athletes had an extended session focussing on Discus throws and techniques with our field and track super star.

We hope to have Kim come back and join us sometime soon!
