Once a fencer, always a fencer! 🤺

On World Fencing Day, we take a moment to remember and honour Olga Jekyll, Gaylene Ongley and Keith Mann– legends of the New Zealand fencing community who are no longer with us.

Their passion for fencing, their dedication to the sport, and the friendships they created have left a lasting mark on our community.

From the piste to the club, they shared their knowledge, encouraged the next generation, celebrated victories and supported us through the challenges. Their contribution continues to live on through the fencers they inspired and the memories they left behind.

Today, we remember their skill, their passion, their friendship and their love of fencing.

New BF Blades Have Arrived! ⚔️

Mainland Fencing Equipment is pleased to share that we have new stock of Blaise Frères (BF) blades available! 🎉

Despite the current worldwide shortage of BF fencing blades, we are proud to have secured new stock for our customers.

We are also very pleased to be official providers of BF blades in the Oceanic region since 2003. 🌏

During the NZ Secondary School Fencing Championships held in Auckland on August 29th-31st, Mainland Fencing Equipment will have a temporary shop available on site.

We are here to help with the following:
-Blade replacement
-Equipment repairs
-Equipment assistance

Fencers will be able to try and purchase fencing equipment, including fencing masks, gloves, uniform.

To ensure availability and correct sizes, fencers are encouraged to reserve items at least 10 days before the competition by contacting Daniel at 0211034885 or [email protected]

Congratulations to all New Zealand fencers who competed at the 2026 U15 & U17 Australian Nationals!

Representing New Zealand on the international stage takes courage and determination. Whether you came home with medals, achieved personal bests, or gained valuable experience, you should all be proud of your efforts.

A huge thank you also goes to the coaches, referees, officials, volunteers, and families whose support made this journey possible.

Good luck to those fencing in the Junior Championship this coming weekend! Hope to see you on the piste! 🤺

BF blades from France have arrived.
Our supply chain continues to provide us with the best service even when we were experiencing delivery delays due to high demands on the Paris Olympics.
