When we guide our guests on the Tasman Glacier, they get so excited they can't help but break out and dance. Even our own team loves to dance on the ice. *Disclaimer - we can't dance. Come join us on the biggest, iciest dance floor in New Zealand, the icy Tasman Haupapa Glacier on our Tasman Glacier Helihike. (All dancing shoes will be swapped for boots before flying to the ice πŸ˜„).

Only a few days until winter officially begins. ❄️

The Tasman Glacier is in great condition, with colder temperatures bringing clear blue ice and plenty of impressive ice features throughout the glacier.

Tai and Pablo recently guided a Japanese group on the Tasman Glacier and Grand Plateau.

The group, aged between 60 and 80, has travelled extensively and seen many of the world’s great places β€” yet the New Zealand alpine environment still left a strong impression for them.

Meet our man, Sam. He's been with us since time began. Sam's a guide of many talents and has almost mastered them all. He's traded the mountain life for Dunedin, but that doesn't stop him from getting on to quality rock and finding perfect powder snow whenever he can. Our Southern Alps and his beautiful family are just two of his many passions. Nice one Sam!

Winter is coming. Climb out of the ski field queues and climb a mountain. Take your skiing to a higher level with our Ski Mountaineering Course. Master the challenges of the climb, then trade effort for adrenaline on a high-altitude ski descent.
Bring your touring experience and basic mountaineering skills for a hands-on skis on learning adventure. Our 6-day courses start on 10 August and run each month 'til November.
