It's getting warmer, and Nan is chomping at the bit to get down to the beach for a frolic! 🏖️

Our district is lucky to have three all-terrain mobility aids ready to help your loved one go 4-wheeling this summer.

The equipment is free to hire and helps people with disabilities explore hard-to-access areas in Horowhenua.

Congratulations to all our Junior Skippers on successfully completing their Junior Skippers Course!

What an amazing accomplishment. We know the instructors thoroughly enjoyed seeing you all having a fantastic time learning valuable skills and building confidence and awareness for staying safe when out on the water- a fantastic course to help build a safer community for everyone.

We are extremely grateful for the support from The Royal New Zealand Coastguard, especially their Safe Boating Education Programme. Their support over the years has been incredible, however having their recent support providing us with new lifejacket and a new boat is amazing.

Keep an eye out for us over the month of November (Water Safety Awareness Month) and in the upcoming Summer holidays – we’ll be back… with our boats!

Kia ora whānau!

If you are in Foxton tomorrow and looking to come down to the pool, just a heads up that it will be a whole lot of "nope" between the hours of 11am and 2pm.

The facility is completely booked out from 11am-2pm but good news is that the spa will be available.

We apologise for any inconvenience and hope to see you outside of these hours.

We all know how busy the pools can get, especially with our tamariki having a blast.

It only takes a moment for things to change in the water, and often there’s no splashing or yelling to warn you. That’s why we always say, keep your eyes on the kids and stay within arm’s reach, especially for the little ones.

Phones, chats, and “just a quick scroll” can wait. When it comes to water, your attention is everything.
Aroha first, always ❤️
