GETTING AHEAD OF THE GAME
We are seeing such young horses coming through the facility with significant structural weakness and compromised integrity within the matrix of their bones.
It has really started us questioning whether another piece of the structural dysfunction we’re seeing in young horses could be linked to inadequate nutrition during those crucial developmental years.
Perhaps raising a young horse isn’t simply a case of turning them out on the hills and allowing them to grow.
Maybe we need to focus more on providing consistent daily nutrition throughout development - helping build the strong foundations and resilience they will need when they are mature enough to begin work.
And by good quality nutrition I do not mean buying a bag of pre made feed and dropping that in a feed bin - i mean purpose nutrition, powder or liquid form mixed with a basic consumable feed at a recommended daily dose.

GET AHEAD OF GAME WITH MAIN
Supporting your horse through seasonal changes doesn’t need to mean reaching for lots of different products when challenges arise.
The aim is to get ahead of the change - build reserves and resilience - not wait until your horse is already in that moment of need.
A consistent nutritional foundation gives the body the nutrients it needs every day and stores reserves - helping maintain normal immune function, recovery, energy and overall resilience.
* MAIN Vitamins & Trace Minerals is designed to be that daily baseline.
By consistently meeting your horse’s daily nutritional needs, you’re giving their body a better chance to adapt when spring grass/ seasonal changes, weather, workload or routine begins to change.
* MAIN PRO can be added ahead of the times when your horse may need extra support.
Containing humates and fulvic compounds, Marlborough wild-harvested seaweed and New Zealand blackcurrant extract, MAIN PRO provides digestive, antioxidant, natural toxin-binding properties and overall body support.
PRO doesn’t necessarily need to be fed every day, 365 days a year. It can be used strategically - ideally starting a few weeks before:
🌱 Seasonal and pasture changes
🚛 Travel or a change of environment
🏇 Competition and increased workload
💊 Recovery from illness, injury or medication
🐴 Other physically or mentally challenging periods
A strong daily nutritional foundation, with targeted support when it’s needed, can help your horse remain physically, mentally and emotionally more settled through life’s changing demands.
It's Simple - consistent nutrition.
