Awesome to see Troy receive the Senior Volunteer of the Year Award by Wellington Rugby
“A true Avalon club man,Troy OKane has served on the club committee for more than a decade and, during that time, has filled just about every role imaginable, including President, Club Captain and team manager, often several at once.
From securing sponsorship and supporting teams, to preparing Fraser Park for game day and being there again for pack-down, Troy is simply someone who gets things done. His contribution also extends into Avalon’s junior and college rugby, while his relationships across the wider Wellington rugby community have helped keep the club connected.
His nominators perhaps summed it up best: most clubs have a team of volunteers doing the jobs that Troy so often takes on himself”
