Here's a good deal out of the US from MDUSA - the Pendlay 3/4" lifting shoe - for $190 pick up!
A good heal lift (3/4 inch) means better mechanical advantage at the bottom of the squat, which keeps the butt closer in to the ankles and center of balance, resulting in a more upright posture and less chance of dropping the bar off the front of the body or overhead! We'd recommend greater than 1/2 an inch of heal lift for those starting out due to the greater gains at bottom of squat for new lifters!

In stock for coaches and athletes! Perhaps one of the best of the e-Coach's and lifting gyms out there - Catalyst Athletics - have a book titled Olympic Weightlifting - and it really is a complete guide.
It has a break down of all the moves right down to where your eyelashes should be on the 3rd sn**ch pull (ok, a slight hyperbole!) and the book breaks down schedules, lifting, stretching, positions, techniques and much more!
You'll most certainly pick up a few beneficial tips and tricks, plus understand 'why' things happen the way they do. It's scientific enough but not overwhelming and is very clear and precise with the why's and how's!

Not much happening over the last week - just orders of 4 or 5 boxes of these dietary compliments. Tom & Luke bars. Great for a snack or after a workout! Just resist the urge to have 5 in one sitting for dinner would ya!

The original Rogue Mechanix gloves and straps - a great combo to start lifting / bar work / Crossfit with! $85 to anywhere in NZ!
Our straps here are 3 years old now with no issues at all. My gloves are 3 years old also though I seldom use them, with no signs of damage regardless! They're Rogue for a reason!

So the new Reebok Nano 5.0's are out and they've shed a bit of weight, lost a lot of the upper strapping yet still come with a flat sole where you may want to incorporate lifting in to part of your workout that requires other movements - like running or jumping.

They're currently $230 but they should come down in price over the next 3 months once the Games have completed. The older shoes went from a tad over $200 to about $170 on special, so if it's not urgent perhaps sit tight until the upcoming Crossfit Games have passed and snap them up on sale! If you do require them urgently then no issue either ;)
