/ Masks - Handmade, Reusable, Original /
~~~ ~~~ ~~~
• Mask fits snugly without gaps around the nose, cheeks and chin.
• Constructed from three layers of fabric - including a non-woven synthetic internal layer as recommended by WHO.
• Outer and inner are pre-washed cotton.
• Supplied with adjustable ties in either elastic or lycra cording depending on availability. I have found this attachment system to be the most secure.
• If you prefer ear loops there is an extra bead provided so you can easily change this.
• Masks are delivered in a sealed ziplock bag with an information sheet for altering the ties, inserting a wire, and for correct handling, storage and cleaning.
Four sizes:
XS - age 3-5, without filter layer
S - most kids 6+ to teens
M - most teens and adults
L - adults with bigger heads, noses, chins, wide faces, beards
Masks are $22 each, plus $4.50 tracked postage for up to 6, or $5.50 for 7 or more for delivery to NZ addresses. Extra $3.90 for rural delivery. International orders by arrangement.
Dispatch time is approximately 5 working days. I’ll do my best to get them to you asap.
For everyone doing their part and wearing masks here's some reminders from WHO on how to wear, handle, store and wash reusable fabric masks.
30/08/2020
Please note that the top fold of the mask should be flipped up to sit over your nose. This helps create a close fit over the nose and cheeks.
The lower part goes down under the chin. Adjust to fit snugly by sliding the bead on the elastic.
I love seeing the colour combinations people are choosing for their masks. If you're going to have to wear them you may as well choose something that suits you!
😷
I've sold out of two more print options today so if you've got your eye on something let me know pronto so you don't miss out.
More info here from RNZ on the mandatory use of masks for public transport at level 2 and outside your home at levels 3 and 4:
When should masks be worn?
At alert level 2, face coverings need to be worn when physical distancing is not possible like on public transport, planes or in shops.
Taxis and rideshare services like Uber are included in the rule.
At alert level 3, face coverings need to be worn when outside your home and in places where physical distancing cannot be maintained.
At alert level 4, most people need to stay indoors, so masks will only have to be worn by those in essential services, or those in contact with them.
As New Zealand tries to once again stamp out Covid-19, the prime minister has said masks will become mandatory on public transport at alert level 2 and above.
