PUFC Club Newsletter 18th September 2026.

JUNIOR/YOUTH PRIZEGIVING.
Thanks to everyone that attended last Sunday and helped us celebrate our 30th. It was a great day and hopefully everyone enjoyed it.
A big thanks to all the volunteers that helped with the BBQ's, bouncy castles, bumper balls, clothing and other activities - it was very much appreciated.
Barfoot and Thompson Otahuhu helped a great deal with sponsoring the BBQ and prizes, thanks to the team that attended and helped us celebrate.
We will post photos on Facebook once all received.


RH3 HOLIDAY PROGRAMME
Please find attached a poster for the RH3 School Holiday Programme for September 2026 - a 2-day event.

SENIOR PRIZEGIVING
This will be held on Saturday 26th September - details sent out to players and coaches and managers separately.

SUMMER FOOTBALL (ages 4-12)
summer - no fees, no registration, no uniform - casual.
This will start on 7th November as follows:
Hockey Turf - 4-8yrs - starts at 9am-10.30am - be there by 8.45am - no boots.
Rugby Field #2 - 9-12yrs - starts at 9am-10.30am - be there by 8.45am - boots optional.
We will advertise from mid-October.
Finishes 12th December.


GEAR COLLECTION - Saturday 20th September - 9am to 11am - behind the pools at our storage shed.
Details sent separately to coaches and managers.

Winter season has finished.

CLUB PHOTOS
All photos can be collected at Junior/Youth Prizegiving on Sunday 13th September - in the morning sessions - from 9am to 11.30am.

FIRST KICKS/FUN FOOTBALL (ages 4-9) - please return shirts at Prizegiving - in the morning sessions - from 9am to 11.30am.

JUNIOR/YOUTH PRIZEGIVING - Sunday 13th September - Kolmar Sports Centre Indoor Training Area Downstairs.
This year, we are looking to have 2 sessions and run through the awards as quickly as possible.

Seating is limited to those that really need it please.
Afterwards - we have organised food stalls, bouncy castles, bumper balls, Hungerball, face painting and other activities.
Food stalls - Ice-cream, Dumplings Candy Floss, Kolmar Cafe, etc.
There will also be a BBQ (Halal available) and raffles.
FIFA gear available to purchase - gold coin - 1 per person.
Plus cake to celebrate our 30th year as a club.
We are looking at an all day event - 9am to 4pm approx.

Please bring gold coins/cash for some stalls - Eftpos will also be available.

SCHEDULE:
9am-10am - Youth (ages 13-15)
10.30am - 12 noon (ages 4-12 + Adapted)
12 noon onwards - activities, etc.

FIRST KICKS (4-7's) - Final Session this Friday 4th September.
Please wear another shirt, so you can hand in the club shirt - this will be done at the beginning of the session and marked off.
There will be a lolly scramble for the final session.

FUN FOOTBALL (8-9's) - Final Session this Saturday 5th September.
Please wear another shirt, so you can hand in the club shirt - this will be done at the beginning of the session and marked off.

The 15th grade photos were printed incorrectly - so have sent back today to reprint - will advise when they are ready - hopefully by the prizegiving date.

The OFFICE will be open as follows to collect photos.
Wednesday - 2nd Sep - 5.30pm to 7pm.
Thursday - 3rd Sep - 5.30pm to 7pm.
Friday - 4th Sep - 5.30pm to 7pm.
Saturday - 5th Sep - 8.30am to 12 noon.

With a lot of parents only contacting the coach on Saturday morning prior to the game, that their child cannot attend - illness or weather (it's raining).
Please remember this is a winter sport and it might rain.
Where possible - the council will close grounds and NRF will cancel games.
This decision is not ours as a club to make.
Please keep in mind that you could be letting the team down.

Fun Football 8-9's - Wednesday 12th August 2026 - Cancelled.
Unfortunately we need to cancel this Wednesday's training - 12th August - both Aidan and I are unavailable.

We will see you on Saturday 15th August.

GIRL GUIDES FUNDRAISER DISCO
A chance to support the local Girl Guides Fundraiser - funds going towards the Jamboree in January 2027 - aligned to Puhinui Guides - see flyer attached.
Any support would be appreciated.
