So far our 6th season is shaping up to be epic! Here are our confirmed locations for this coming season, but there is still time to jump on board and the wheels spinning in your community. If you want to be involved with Rural Riders the season see below the different ways you can get stuck in!

Ways to join the movement:
1. Start up a crew in your local community
2. Become a regional coordinator
3. Sponsor Rural Riders from a grassroots level
4. Help out on a BBQ / put on a BBQ
5. Come along for a ride once we start back up!!

One week to go and we will be riding or walking together again! If you have a friend without a bike, get in touch, we can organise something. Or if you want to try a new bike, we can arrange that too! Or just come for a walk!

During the off season a lot has happened: Rural riders has joined with Surfing for Farmers, and as such we have a fancy new website and more sponsors!

We are also asking people to please register to keep things safe for all! Registration will of course be available each night. But if you can please pre register at:

Longer daylight hours mean we are getting closer to the start of rural riders on 29th September.
Trails have come through winter really well so will be an awesome season!

It’s been a cold winter and riding in snow isn’t for everyone!

The good news is we are 5 weeks away from the start of rural riders Marton!
5.30pm 29th September we will be back out riding at Tutaenui!

Race briefing: 12.5pm

U15 & Older
Registration: 11.30am-1.15pm

Race start: 1.30pm

**We will be trailing payWave as a form of payment at race 3 for on the day entries. You can still use cash if that’s your preference**

The Manawatu Mountain bike club held their dirt diva frocks on shocks event at the tutaenui resevoir, with a large group of ladies in attendance!
How awesome was it that a rural riders regular took out the solo rider win! Good on you Hannah! Home track advantage!
