This weekend was filled with the best kind of chaos – the kind that comes with a visit with my grandson. 🥰

It reminds me that at its heart, a place is made of the people and the moments you share. Feeling so grateful to be building these memories here in Masterton, and for the community that makes this town feel like home.

Hope your weekend was filled with what matters most to you, too.

The mind is often busy… recounting the day, planning the evening. This is natural. The ancient sage Patanjali defined yoga as ‘Yogas chitta vritti nirodha’—the cessation of the fluctuations of the mind. Or, more simply, the stilling of the mental whirlpool.

This year taught me more than I could ever have planned. 🙃

I had to learn how to hustle. For someone who always said she couldn't "sell water in a desert," this meant pulling courage from nowhere and stepping far, far out of my behind-the-scenes comfort zone.

I also had to learn how to be quiet. As someone who's always kept busy, being forced to slow down and find things to do was a special kind of challenge. (It drove me a little crazy, not gonna lie.)

And perhaps the biggest lesson? I learnt the price of neglecting me. Letting other things become more important and letting my own yoga practice slide, skipping walks... it all came back as stiffness, soreness, and a reminder that you can't pour from an empty cup.

Through it all, I discovered a new layer of my Capricorn spirit: that resilient, head-down strength to just keep going. It wasn't about becoming a different person, but uncovering what this one was truly capable of.

What was your biggest lesson this year? 👇
