Train the muscle that makes hard things possible.
High Intensity training does more than build strength, fitness, and confidence — it teaches your brain how to lean into discomfort instead of backing away from it.
There’s a part of the brain called the Anterior Mid-Cingulate Cortex, linked with willpower, resilience, and doing the things you’d rather avoid. Research suggests it can grow when you repeatedly choose something difficult which you really don’t like or want to do!
Every hard exercise, every challenging last rep, every moment you keep going when your body and mind want to quit — that’s not just training. It’s practice that’s building the person who can do hard things.
Show up. Work hard. Get stronger — physically and mentally.

A recent study of 5,472 women (aged 63–99) found that higher muscular strength in woman is a significant predictor of longevity, independent of aerobic fitness or physical activity levels.
The highlights:
• 33–37% lower risk of death for those with the highest strength levels.
• It’s independent: the benefit holds even if you don't do much cardio or have a higher BMI.
The bottom line: It’s never too late to start resistance training.
Maintaining and improving muscle isn't just about fitness—it’s about staying independent and living longer.
