Silver Arrows is expanding, and we’re looking for ambitious female archers with big competitive goals and the drive to chase them.

Already shooting compound? We want to hear from you.

Shooting recurve, barebow, field or another discipline but secretly think you’d smash it with a compound in your hands? We want to hear from you too. 😉

We’re looking for women with ambition, commitment and resilience — athletes prepared to train, learn, compete, make changes, push through the difficult patches and find out just how far they can go.

For the right athlete, whether you’re already an experienced compounder or making the transition, we can offer the support, experience and high-performance team environment to help you pursue elite target compound archery.

Silver Arrows is expanding, and we’re looking for NZ archers with big dreams, strong values and the drive to see just how far they can take their archery.

If you’re already competing in compound and have ambitions to take your performance further, we want to hear from you.

And if you’re a woman with big ambitions but compound isn’t currently your discipline, we want to hear from you too. We’re excited about helping more women discover compound archery and pursue it at the highest level.

You don’t need to be there yet. What matters is the drive, resilience and commitment to do the work to get there — with the support of a high-performance team around you

Look who’s officially a Cumberlands Patriot!

There’s a pretty exciting new adventure starting for our very own Hector McNeilly, who has swapped NZ for Williamsburg, Kentucky, where he’s starting university at the University of the Cumberlands — and, of course, there’s going to be plenty of archery involved!

Hector has joined the Cumberlands archery team, so he’ll get to experience life as a US college athlete while continuing to train and compete in the sport he loves.

We’re going to miss having him quite so close to home, but what an amazing opportunity

Have the BEST time, Hector. We’ll be following along and cheering you on from NZ. 🇳🇿🩶🏹

And don’t worry — going halfway around the world doesn’t get you out of being a Silver Arrow.

Riverglade Archers has kindly agree to host the X Factor RMT Series this October and November - four Saturday morning 720’s, with part of the proceeds going towards supporting the Silver Arrows.

More opportunities to get out and compete, a bit of friendly rivalry with series points and prizes, and you can still be home by lunchtime!

You can shoot one, a couple, or come along to all four and see who ends up with the X Factor Series title.

River Glade Archers has kindly agreed to host the X Factor RMT Series this October and November — four Saturday morning 720s, with part of the proceeds going towards supporting the Silver Arrows ❤️

The idea is pretty simple. More opportunities to get out and compete, a bit of friendly rivalry with series points and prizes, and you can still be home around lunchtime!

You can shoot one, a couple, or come along for all four and see who ends up with the X Factor Series title

Congratulations Lisa on the Line being selected to represent NZ at Asia Cup 3

Congratulations to others too 🫶🏻

World Archery Asia - Asia Cup #3, Hangzhou, China.

It is with pleasure that the Board and Selectors of Archery NZ announce that the following athletes have been selected to compete in the 2026 Archery Asia – Leg 3 to be held in Hangzhou, China, from the 16th to the 22nd of November.

The athletes are:

Lisa Walker from River Glade Archers (Women’s Compound)
Julia Harrison from Christchurch Archery Club (Women’s Recurve)
Nuala Edmundson from Mountain Green Archery Club (Women’s Recurve)
Mitchell Osborne from Christchurch Archery Club (Men’s Recurve)
Ryley Griffiths from Ellesmere Archery Club (Men’s Recurve)
Finn Matheson from Auckland Archery Club (Men’s Recurve)
