Te Wheke 21km — Taupō
Three Takitimu crews headed to Taupō for the 21km Te Wheke race, and what a day it turned out to be!
It was already windy on arrival, and after the earlier races had their courses changed, we were keeping a close eye on the conditions. Thankfully, things settled a little for our race and the decision was made to go ahead with the original course.
It was super tricky out there, but all three crews dug deep, stayed focused and made it safely across the finish line.
And to top off a great day, two of our crews took 1st place in their respective divisions! 🥇🥇
Huge congratulations to all our paddlers — a challenging course, tough conditions and some awesome racing.
