Lesley Taplin Memorial Shield
Recently, the Meeanee Wednesday morning group held our annual Fun Day in memory of
our dear friend Lesley who died in June 2021. We all wore a funny/silly hat, and played a
couple of games which were scored as a ‘Yankee Tournament’ so that each player drew a
playing card which added or reduced their score according to the number/suit on their
card.
This was the 5th year the Shield has been contested and was won by Petrina Single.
Prizes were awarded to the highest and lowest scores, as well as spot prizes.
A fun morning and fitting way to remember Lesley - she was a friend to everyone.
GRiM (or “Four Eyes” as Lesley called me...)
