Almost everyone loves to look into the flames of an open fire - it is deeply relaxing. To sit around an open fire is as old as the human race. So why don't we do it more often? The way we live makes it more and more difficult to start a fire. We have found an elegant solution to eliminate all the fire concerns like safety, no dry fire wood, no firelighters, confined space, smoke, flying embers and
messy ashes to clean up. By using our products you can have a safe clean fire within seconds and no mess to clean up. And it can be used in small outdoor areas like courtyards and decks, even on tables. Treecandles
An invention going back hundreds of years and widely used in Europe and South Africa. It is a very dry log of untreated pine that is cut in a certain way to provide a chimney effect. The log burns like a candle first and then the fire gets bigger and bigger (up to 70 cm high). Inside the mesh the log will burn for 45 min – 1 h 15 min, depending on wind and sap content. (We control the moisture content). To make it easy, we added a natural fire lighter (wood shavings and wax) . You can burn the candles without the brazier but it is not recommended as they break apart, make a mess and burn much shorter. Mini-Braziers
The top consists of a fine but strong stainless steel mesh that surrounds the candle. The mesh guarantees air flow and allows unobstructed views of the fire but holds in almost all of the embers and ashes. It also holds the candle together in the later states of burning and more fuel can be added (wood, charcoal, coal, pine cones) to prolong the fire. The mesh sits on a steel base and is fixed with five stainless steel screws that are hand tightened. The next morning the mesh can simply be removed and the ashes can be tipped away without any mess. The mesh and the candle can also be used without the base to take tramping & camping as a source of light, warmth and to cook or BBQ food. We have two sizes:
Table Mini-Brazier
The table mini-brazier is designed to be used on outdoor tables or other fixtures to have it off the ground. You can use it on any non-combustable, non-flammbale surface. For wooden tables we recommend to put a tile under the brazier. We don't recommend it on plastic tables and don't ever use it on table cloth. The fire gets quite big (app. 60 - 70 cm) in the later stages (see photos). So please make sure there is no flammable material within 2 m around and above the candle. Don't use it in windy conditions. We tested the table brazier without any incidents but we can't take any responsibility for any fires caused. Please be fire safe. We also recommend to have a bucket of water and/or fire extinguisher near by when you burn our treecandles. Never leave them unattended. The table brazier is great if used with charcoal. A calm, smoke free fire radiates a lot of heat and creates a lovely peaceful glowing ambiance. The table brazier can be started away from the table in a safe place with a treecandle. When the candle has burned for a while add the charcoal. Protect your hands (the base gets hot) and carry the brazier to the table. Because the brazier fire is at a height of app. 100 - 120 cm any smoke will be above the people sitting around the table. Tall Mini-Brazier
Stands app. 750 mm tall (table height). The legs stay cool and the brazier can be moved around while burning. It has 6 mm holes in the base ring so it can be bolted or pinned down. It can be used on a wooden deck as long there is no danger that the brazier will be tipped over by people. The flames can get up to 70 cm high and sway around in wind so make sure there is no flammable material within 2m around or above the burning candles. We have two styles:
