Referees Wanted

We’re looking for extra referees for BATTLE OF THE ARMS comp to help lighten the load of our lads.

If you’re keen to help out, comment below with which weight class you’d like to referee.

⚠️ Ideally we would like those to referee a weight class outside of their own competing weight class.

If you’re available and happy to help, let us know what class you’d prefer to ref! 🙌 Our lads would appreciate it massively

We know we’re still very new to the game, launching our club and hosting our first comp in the same year! So we genuinely appreciate every person who has taken time out of their busy schedule, travelled, and spent their hard earned money to come and compete with us. 🙏

Safe to say we feel the pressure to make this epic for you all! 😂🔥

We’ve got an awesome venue lined up at Paisley Stage with great bar staff keeping everyone refreshed throughout the day, and plenty of comfortable sofas, chairs and couches to kick back and watch the action.

We’ve also got some young guns behind the scenes who will be live streaming and photographing the event, so those who can’t make it can still keep up with the matches, while competitors will have plenty of content to take home with them. 📸🎥

When it comes to table time post comp, we’ve got a live rock cover band ready to bring some mean vibes while everyone de compresses🔥 Nothing better than some live music, a packed venue and some serious arm wrestling.

We’re looking forward to welcoming all our competitors and everyone you bring along to support you. Come down, grab a drink, make some noise and enjoy the day with us!

Battle of the Arms hits Paisley Stage, Napier on Saturday 22 August for a full day of hard fought arm wrestling.

Multiple weight divisions. Left and right arm competition. Double elimination. One winner in each division.

Whether you're stepping up to compete or coming to watch, expect strength, pressure and plenty of battles at the table.

UPDATE - There is no 8/16 competitor only sign ups necessary now as we have been given the helpful advice of using challonge linked to us by Anton with NZ Armwrestling. We had our first club run through with the system last night and happy to use this on August 22nd instead of doing it all ourselves.

Therefore we will now take any number of competitors per weight class until we max out at 16 (due to time limits for the day).

Competitors will be randomly shuffled in the system for the competition, if there are any issues on the day you are welcome to raise these with Club Captain Owen.

Registrations will now close on August 17th 2026 so we can get it all finalized 1 week out.
