Join NZC Women & Girls Participation Lead Jess Davidson and CD Community & Capability Manager Aidan O'Connor alongside Nelson Cricket for an open town-hall style forum on the future of the women's and girls' game in Nelson Tasman.

We're ready for some pre-season training!!

PRE-SEASON WOMEN & GIRLS TRAININGS 🏏

Ladies, it's that time of year again! As the 2026/27 season approaches, we've got some female pre-season training sessions on the calendar for anyone wanting to play hardball this year.

Sessions are FREE and for any female cricket players Year 9 and above (any skill level) who want some extra time on the ball. All sessions will be run by Coach Tony Pratt.

Come along for some coaching, a pressure-free chance to get some practice in, and to meet some other girls in cricket ahead of the incoming season!

We will be there! All are welcome.

Every girl who picks up a bat should feel like she belongs. Every girl deserves the chance to fall in love with cricket, and every girl who steps onto the field should feel like there's a future for herself in the sport, not just a season.

That's a responsibility that belongs to all of us, and we want our community to help design what comes next for female cricket in the Nelson region.

📣 Applications are now open for NZC's Female Leadership Development Contestable Fund!

Since 2021, the fund has supported 68 initiatives across Aotearoa, helping develop female leaders and champions of women and girls cricket throughout our network.

Funding is available for Major Associations, District Associations, clubs and schools to support leadership development and female-focused initiatives.
