The "toning" muscles myth is based on a misunderstanding. Muscles can only grow or shrink in size. The "toned" look actually comes from building muscle and reducing body fat, not from a specific type of exercise! ๐ช

Progressive overload is a key concept in fitness that involves gradually increasing the stress placed on your body during workouts. This principle states that for muscles to grow stronger or for endurance to increase, the body must be regularly challenged. This can be done by lifting more weight, doing more repetitions or sets, or increasing the intensity and duration of your workouts. It's a slow and steady approach that allows your body to adapt to increased levels of physical stress, leading to improved strength and fitness. It's important to remember that everyone's rate of progression will be different, and the goal is consistent, sustainable improvement, not pushing to the point of potential injury! ๐ช

My client Krisโs 2 month progress update ๐
Kris is an absolute pleasure to work with. One of the things I love about personal training is building friendships, which is exactly whatโs transpired here! Kris is open minded and disciplined with his training and nutrition and heโs turning that into results! When kris originally came to me he wanted to break out of a long plateau and was seeking a different way forward. In my opinion kris was already very lean and in good shape, so to see these results in such a short period of time is outstanding! ๐ heโs gotten stronger in all of his movements and has lost a lot of body fat around his waist which has resulted in him looking far more defined and muscular. More importantly kris feels mentally better than ever and is loving his program! I am very lucky to have him as a client and as a friend ๐
