First HALF MARATHON done. Off the cuff, on a regular weekday morning, I decided to go for it. No big build-up, no real training—just a few short runs with my 6-year-old and a 10km last week. I wanted to test my body, mind, and all the health and longevity protocols we've been practising.
It was windy, it was tough, and pushed me—but 1 hour and 49 minutes later, it was done. Surprisingly, the body was good the next day. Life ready.
My first ever half marathon. A quiet but significant milestone in my journey.

Only daily coffee drinkers know how hard it is to take a break from caffeine for a week. Day one: my brain is a little slow. Day 2: I’m missing the morning ritual. Day 3: I’m kinda cool. I’m on day 4 now and counting down the days until till that delicious brew passes my lips.
I do this on average three times a year. Not just for kicks, but to reset some important sleep inducing receptors (adenosine) that compete for caffeine.

Silver meant more this time. Our girl was stretched to her limit, there were tears, then the strength to keep going three rounds and extra time (16 minutes of wresting) to finally come off second best. We can celebrate the gold but it was a straight forward match. It’s the silver that will help define her character, resilience and strength in the future.

🥱 Crappy Sleep? Not waking refreshed?
Below are FIVE easy wins to improve your sleep.
One of the reasons I have an extra positive outlook on life is that I am a sleep giant. Your life will change dramatically with better sleep.
😴1. Take Magnesium in the evening (magnesium glycinate is specifically for sleep)
😴2. Blast yourself with light when you wake up (releasing serotonin first thing helps to set up a great sleep)
😴3. Take 5g of creatine at night dissolved in warm water or herbal tea (it will increase the quality of your sleep and improve many other functions in your body)
😴4. Create a consistent wind-down routine from 7pm onward (your body can trained to regular patterns and release sleep hormones)
😴5. Keep your coffee intake to be before 11am (it takes 10 hours for caffeine to be out of your system)
If you are interested in the advanced sleep protocols that we do to really maximise our sleep get in touch.
