Thrills on hills. “supported by Toi Foundation”
Sporting Trials is an off road Motor Sport, the objective is to get as far up the hills ,as possible without stopping, hitting markers or going outside the boundaries, Very similar to 4WD trials, but without the deep mud.

A great event in then weekend, conditions were slippery with wet weather before the event, and some heavey frosts made the ground soft and slippery. Almost all the drivers improved as the day progressed. Erica Jensen was the first competitor to get right through section 5 with a great display of Side Brake controll. Many thanks to the land owner, also Mac Yeates and Warwick Landers for observing.

We had a great event at Tamarunui on Sunday, Ground conditions were very slippery, however the rain held off all day. Sid Hirst was on a mission and took out 1st place followed by Gordon Marshall 2nd and Kevin Jensen 3rd. Well worth the 3hr plus drive from Inglewood to attend.

A great Sporting Trial yesterday. Conditions were challenging after a very wet week. Congratulations to Steven Bridger of Inglewood for a convincing win. Many thanks to the land owners for allowing us to use this great, handy venue just out of Inglewood.
Quintin Marshall on section 4, SIDCO Handicap.

The SIDCO Handicap trial was held receinly. Competitors are handicaped by the top drivers having to run up to 15 psi and down to open presures for the less experienced drivers. It works out very well, usually with one top driver , one intermediate and one newer driver on the top 3 , and this year was no exception, results below.

A bit of the last, and easiest sections of the NZ champs 2026. Conditions were very dry, and it was difficult to make the sections challenging without being dangerous.
