NorthSport Olympic Weightlifting North Sport Olympic Weightlifting (NSOW) has experienced phenomenal success on the National and International stage.
Since the clubβs inception in 2002 at the AUT Millennium, North Sport athletes have dominated the New Zealand rankings in both male and female divisions of all age groups. North Sport has consistently produced World class athletes who have represented New Zealand at numerous pinnacle events. North Sport Olympic Weightlifting continues to grow on a yearly basis. Introducing coach Cam McTaggart! Cam started his lifting career here at North Sport in 2011 and has since gone on to represent New Zealand at 2 Commonwealth Games and at the 2021 Olympic Games, we are now lucky enough to have him back as a coach. Cam has a passion for helping athletes reach their full potential in a fun supportive learning environment, he has an eye for detail and a technical approach catered towards the individual.
