And this year we’re kicking things off with our brand-new pool covers helping keep the pool warmer for you! 💙🙌

💦 AQUATOTS LEAD ROLE – WE’RE LOOKING FOR YOU! 💦
We’re looking for someone enthusiastic, caring and passionate about working with children to take on our Aquatots Lead role.

This is a rewarding school-term-only position, where you’ll help our tamariki:
🌟 Build confidence
🏊 Develop their swimming skills
😊 Have fun and enjoy their time in the water

🌊 AQUATOTS LEAD WANTED

We’re looking for someone enthusiastic and caring to take on our Aquatots lead role! This is a rewarding school term only position where you’ll help our tamariki build confidence, develop their swimming skills, and enjoy their time in the water.

The role involves:
• Being at the pool on Tuesdays from 9:30–10:30am and again from 3:30–4pm

• Supporting and coordinating our wonderful Aquatots instructors

• Keeping track of our tamariki’s progress and following up on their development

• Helping create a positive, encouraging experience for every child

Support with the behind the scenes work is available, so you’ll have plenty of guidance along the way.

If you enjoy working with children, love seeing their confidence grow, and think this could be a fun and meaningful role for you or if you know someone who would be perfect please send me a message 😊

🏊 Development Squad Enrolments Are Open!

Development Squad is a wonderful next step for swimmers who are ready to build their fitness, strengthen their technique and prepare for future swimming opportunities.

To ensure the squad is the right fit, children must be able to complete all of the following before enrolling:

✅ 100m freestyle — 4 lengths
✅ 75m breaststroke — 3 lengths
✅ 75m backstroke — 3 lengths
✅ 50m butterfly — 2 lengths

If you’re unsure whether your child is ready, please feel free to get in touch we’re always happy to help. 💙

AQUATOTS TERM 4 – ENROLMENTS REOPENED! 🏊‍♂️

Thank you so much for the amazing response to our Term 4 Aquatots! 💙

Due to the number of enrolments in our Crabs groups, I’ve had to make a few changes to keep our class sizes manageable. Some children who requested the 9:30am Crabs session have been moved to 10:00am, and our afternoon Crabs have been split between 3:30pm and 4:00pm.

I’ve tried my very best to accommodate everyone, including keeping siblings together where possible, while making sure our groups are manageable for our instructors. Thank you so much for your understanding. 💦

🌅 TUESDAY AM
⭐ Goldfish – 3 spaces
⭐ Tadpoles – 2 spaces
⭐ Starfish – 3 spaces

POOL COVERS & ROLLER FOR SALE — OFFERS WANTED! 💦

Ōpunakē Community Pools has recently upgraded, so our previous blue pool covers and large roller are now available for sale.

They are in used condition and show some wear, but could still be useful for another pool or repurposing project. Sold as-is.

🚚 Buyer responsible for removal and transport

Every dollar raised will go straight back into maintaining and improving our community pool.
