Some more happy trophy winners from Prizegiving.

We couldn't have wished for better playing conditions for our roll up which followed our AGM and Prizegiving. Congratulations to all winners.

Congratulations to Jane Selby-Paterson and Pam Lorimer on their 18-12 win over Timeri Sanders and Marei Beven (Central Levin) in the final of the Centre Champion of Champion Women's Pairs at Raumati today.

Our Club Mixed 2 4 2 Championship was finally decided late this afternoon which was preceded by two very close semifinals. In the final, last year's winners and National runners Up Paul and Jane Selby prevailed once again by defeating Geoff Curtis and Pam Lorimer in a very exciting match.

Wow it really has been an outstandingly busy few days for our club with our final Summer Gala and particularly hosted and entertained some 40 Motor Homers from Taranaki & Waikato on a 10-day Bowling Safari. Whilst the weather was a bit of a problem for the planned outdoor programme initially, the rolling out of the indoor mats proved to be a popular alternative which enabled the "Challenge" between the Motorhomers and an Otaki Selection to take place, It is pleasing to note that Otaki managed to come out on top.
The Safari terminated at Otaki today with some of our visitors returning home whilst a number of others have travelled on to Wellington to watch the National Interclub 7's, so now our grounds look so empty having been likened to a Top 10 Holiday Park since Tuesday.
Congratulations and a huge vote of thanks to the team who organised the hosting including providing lunch and a sumptuous 2-course dinner for both the visitors and club members.

Our final gala of the Summer today saw one of our own teams (Kevin Plunkett, Roger Papps, & Geoff Curtis) come out on top. Congratulation guys.

Last night the Otaki Twilight Bowls League season came to an end. As is usual the League Season winners played off against a team of our club's Juniors, unfortunately as in the past 3 years the League team proved to be too strong for our club selection. This year Ralf Kuester, Ron White & Dennis Ahern represented the club.
