🏆 WAIKATO PROVINCIAL CHAMPIONSHIPS – WHAT A WEEKEND! 🏆

What a weekend of trap shooting at Te Kuiti Trap Shooters Club!

We were proud to host the Waikato Provincial Championships on 19–20 September, welcoming a fantastic turnout of shooters and some seriously high-level competition. 🎯

And the weather certainly made everyone work for it! 🌬️💨

With strong south-westerly winds and gusts estimated at 50–60 knots, conditions were incredibly challenging. But despite the wind, the competition was outstanding, with some great performances and some very close contests.

👏 Every shooter should be incredibly proud of their efforts.

A huge thank you to the Kuiti team for presenting the grounds so beautifully. The traps were well set, giving shooters every opportunity to perform at their best.

And then there are the people behind the scenes who make a weekend like this happen…

🍔 Tania — thank you for keeping everyone fed with delicious burgers and a fantastic variety of food.

📋 Connie — an enormous thank you for the incredible job you did in the office, keeping everything organised and making it all happen.

👏 To everyone who helped — thank you!

A special mention to the young fellas who headed out at the end of each day to pick up all the targets. Your help was hugely appreciated.

And thank you to all the shooters who pitched in, filled traps and helped wherever needed. That team effort is what makes these events work.

❤️ It takes a club, its volunteers and its shooters working together to put on a championship like this — and Te Kuiti is incredibly grateful to everyone who played their part.

Congratulations to all the competitors on a fantastic weekend of shooting, especially those who produced some outstanding results in very difficult conditions.
