NHC 2026 | FINAL DAY RESULTS

That’s a wrap on the 2026 Ford National Hockey Championship for our four Auckland sides, with plenty of fight shown right through to the final whistle.

⚪️ 🥉TIER 2 WOMEN |
Our Tier 2 Women finish their tournament on a high, securing bronze with a 1–0 win over Tasman Districts! Katie O’Connor scored the match-winning goal to see Auckland claim Bronze after a strong week in Wellington.

⚪️ TIER 2 MEN |
A heart aching finish for our Tier 2 Men, who fought hard right to the end. Captain Adam Kailea found the equaliser in the fourth quarter to make it 1–1 and send the match to a shootout, where Manawatu eventually took the win 4–2.

🔵 TIER 1 MEN |
Our Tier 1 Men went down 3–1 to North Harbour in their final match, with Kervin Guttenbeil finding the back of the net for Auckland.

🔵 TIER 1 WOMEN |
A tight final match for our Tier 1 Women remained scoreless through regulation time before Auckland stepped up in the shootout, taking the win 3–1 to finish their tournament with a victory.

A huge thank you to all of our players, coaches, managers and support staff who have represented Auckland throughout the week. 💙🤍

🥉 BRONZE FOR OUR TIER 2 WOMEN! 🔵⚪️

Congratulations to our Auckland Tier 2 Women, securing bronze in Tier 2 at the 2026 Ford National Hockey Championship!

The team secured the bronze with a 1–0 win over Tasman Districts in today’s 3rd/4th playoff, with Katie O’Connor scoring the match winning goal. 🙌

A great achievement from the group and a great way to finish their week in Wellington.

Congratulations to all the players, coaches and management team! 💙

One last day in Wellington!

After a huge week of hockey, our Auckland sides take to the turf for their final matches of the 2026 Ford National Hockey Championship.

There’s plenty on the line today as our teams look to finish the tournament strong and leave it all out there in their final games.

A big thank you to all our coaches, managers, physios and support staff who have given their time and energy throughout the week and to everyone supporting our teams 🔵⚪️

NHC Men’s Results 🔵⚪️

A strong result for our Tier 1 Men today, picking up a 3–1 win over Northland, with goals from Nopera Hohepa, Kervin Guttenbeil and Raynish Patel. They’ll be back on the turf tomorrow for the 5th/6th playoff.

Our Tier 2 Men went down 2–1 to Counties in a tight contest, with Sam Tickner scoring for Auckland. They’ll play off for 7th/8th tomorrow.

NHC WOMEN’S RESULTS 🔵⚪️

A tough start to the day for our Auckland Women’s sides in Wellington.

Our Tier 2 Women went down 5–1 to Wellington in their semifinal, with Lona Charlick scoring Auckland’s goal. A great effort from the side to reach the top four, and they’ll be back on the turf tomorrow for the 3rd/4th playoff.

Our Tier 1 Women went down 2–1 in a tight battle with our neighbours Counties, with Shayna Narsai scoring for Auckland. Our women will be back tomorrow for the 7th/8th playoff, looking to finish the tournament strong.

NHC | Quarterfinals Done 🔵⚪️

Quarterfinal day wrapped up with some tight battles across all four Auckland sides.

Our Tier 2 Women are through to the semi-finals after a shootout win over Tauranga, while our Tier 1 Men, Tier 1 Women and Tier 2 Men move into classification playoffs.

NHC QUARTERFINAL RESULT | TIER 2 MEN

A tough finish for our Tier 2 Men, going down 4–3 to South Canterbury in their quarterfinal.

A hat-trick from captain Adam Kailea had Auckland right in the contest, before South Canterbury struck with two goals in quick succession in the fourth quarter to take the win.

The boys now turn their attention to tomorrow, with another opportunity to finish their NHC campaign strongly in the classification playoffs. 🔵⚪️

NHC QUARTERFINAL RESULTS | TIER 1

A tough afternoon in Wellington for our Auckland Tier 1 sides, with both teams battling through challenging wet conditions in their quarterfinals.

Our Tier 1 Men took the lead through Dylan Muggleston and held on until late in the fourth quarter, when Wellington found the equaliser to make it 1–1. The match headed to a shootout, where Wellington came away with the win.

Our Tier 1 Women also battled hard in the conditions, but it wasn’t their day, going down 2–0 to Manawatu Emeralds.

Not the quarterfinal results we were hoping for, but both sides will regroup and return to the turf tomorrow, , looking to finish the tournament strong in their classification playoffs.
