THE SHELLY BUNCE MEMORIAL TROPHY Flex Fitness Havelock North presentation is always an emotional moment but this year it was incredibly emotional.

Our beautiful and worthy recipient was Jennie Williamson Jennie Williamson

Jennie has competed with us over a number of years all while managing the effects of a stroke which left her paralyzed on one side of her body. While prepping for the 2024 Nationals Jennie was attached by a dog leaving her good arm severely injured.

It took an operation and many months of rehab and training under the guidance of her Coach Stephanie Muschamp for Jennie to step back on stage at the North Island Classic.

When looking for a recipient for this year's Shelley Bunce Memorial Trophy, we couldn't go past Jennie's dedication, determination and unbreakable spirit.

Awarding the trophy to Jennie was her dear friend and team mate Phillipa MacDonald. This was a hugely emotional moment for these two women who, in 2024, had shared the stage together, both as athletes.

Soon after that Phillipa was diagnosed with Motor Neuron Disease. We acknowledge that this was a massive effort for her to be at the show to present the award to Jennie and thank Phillipa for making it such a beautiful moment for Jennie and all of us present. I will never ever forget just how special this was to witness.

Congratulations Jennie and aroha nui Phillipa, two beautiful souls brought together through the love of bodybuilding.

OVERALL MEN'S PHYSIQUE CHAMPION from the NORTH ISLAND CLASSIC 2O26 James Cuff James Cuff

James had the v-taper, size and conditioning that was unmatched in this competition. We were pleased to award James with a Pro Qualification Card and we're excited to see him compete in the Aotearoa South Pacific ProAm in late September.

James also received a prize of top quality protein powder from Stan and the at Diamond Cut Nutrition

This was Joel first time competing with ICN and in Men's Fitness. He delivered great proportions and very good conditioning and posing to take the title. We look forward to seeing Joel again in the future.

OVERALL MEN'S BODYBUILDING CHAMPION from the NORTH ISLAND CLASSIC 2O26 John Alio.

John has great mass and was the undeniable winner of Men's Bodybuilding at the North Island Classic. This was John's 2nd Overall title and this time he was awarded a Pro Qualification Card which we are excited to see him use in the Aotearoa South Pacific Pro Am later this month.

accentuate_posing_academy awarded Jen a fantastic prize of her entry fees paid for the Aotearoa South Pacific ProAm. Sadly we won't see her at the ProAm but we will be looking forward to the next time she steps on stage.

OVERALL MS BIKINI MODEL CHAMPION from the NORTH ISLAND CLASSIC 2026 Mary-Jane Knight Mary Jane Knight.

Winning the title in her very first competition, Mary Jane is a stunning Bikini athlete with an hourglass shape and posing and presentation like a seasoned competitor. It was a pleasure to award her the Overall title and a well deserved PQ card. We're looking forward to seeing Mary Jane use the PQ card and make her debut on the Pro stage at the Aotearoa South Pacific ProAm.

Ashleigh looked incredible taking out the Ms Wellness title with great lower body development and great conditioning. We loved Ashleigh's look! We may not see her on stage again in the near future but she'll always be the North Island 2026 Wellness Queen 💚
