Well done to all those who ran last weekend at the Manawatu Individual Schools Champs and accompanying club event at Holly Farm. It was windy and wet for those with early starts (most school students!) - good on you all for braving the tough conditions! Results available here: https://www.redkiwi.org.nz/results

Thank you to our setter and controller, and all the other volunteers who helped make the event a success.

The RK schools training team had a great day out at Waituna West yesterday. It was an early start leaving at 7am to get there and set up for the approx. 50 students we would be coaching throughout the day. We ran four sessions with four schools taking part - Waituna West, Kimbolton, Kiwitea and Whakarongo school.
Each session started in the classroom with the teaching done by Jakob. Then the students headed outside to run some courses at the level they were learning at. Royce, Fraser and Ruth helped Jakob with this part of the session. Jakob introduced artificial barriers and a flip map for those students that had done orienteering before to add abit more of a challenge.
It was a thoroughly enjoyable day with very engaged students. Waituna West school were fantastic hosts. We love coming out here each year and hope to return for our fourth year next year.
