For hundreds of local children, Junior Surf is the highlight of summer.

It's a chance to build water confidence, learn beach safety skills, stay active, make friends and have fun in the surf.

For some, it's also the start of a lifelong connection with Pāpāmoa Surf Life Saving Club.

Whether your child is new to the beach or already loves spending time in the water, there's a place for them at Pāpāmoa.

We're excited to reveal that our 2026 Fundraising Quiz Night will be hosted by Detective Sergeant Rob Lemoto, former host of TVNZ's Police Ten 7. Rob hosted the popular programme from 2014 to 2023 and has spent nearly three decades in New Zealand Police.

Now he's swapping crime-fighting for quiz-mastering and bringing his quick wit and sharp questioning to Pāpāmoa Surf Club.

Defending the championship trophy four years in a row is an incredible achievement. 🌊 We're Hiring! 🌊

Pāpāmoa Surf Life Saving Club is seeking a Junior Surf Admin, Volunteer Coordination & Communications Support person for the 2026/27 season.

This paid part-time role is ideal for someone who enjoys organisation, communication, community engagement and working with volunteers.

You'll help support one of New Zealand's largest Junior Surf programmes by:
✅ Coordinating volunteers
✅ Supporting programme administration
✅ Communicating with families and members
✅ Creating social media content and sharing club stories

No previous surf lifesaving or lifeguarding experience is required. We're looking for someone with great people skills, strong organisation and a passion for supporting their community.
