Rest In Peace, Les Mills 🙇 🙏

On behalf of everyone at Northern Arena, we extend our heartfelt condolences to the Mills family and the entire Les Mills community following the passing of Les Mills.

As an Olympian, visionary, and pioneer of group fitness, Les leaves behind an extraordinary legacy that has inspired millions of people around the world to move, connect, and live healthier lives. His passion for sport and fitness transformed an industry and continues to make a positive impact every day through clubs like ours.

A new/old piece of equipment for the gym; an OG Hack Squat made right here in NZ by FitnessWorks!

These locally designed and fabricated Hack Squats from back in the proverbial day were both well made with heavy duty steel, quality welds and linear bearings for smooth motion, but they were also very innovative in that unlike many of the big name brands these were designed for FRONT and BACK squats. Additionally, the FitnessWorks Hack Squat also has an adjustable floor plate which is very unique as all the other bases on other machines are fixed - usually flat although a couple of models have a concave dip for additional angles.

Admittedly, this ole’ Hack Squat may not look like much right now but he is getting a full makeover; sandblasting back to bare steel then powder coating plus some additional mods not seen elsewhere 😉 stay tuned!
