We where lucky enough to have Gill and Dave Hogg give us two VHS from 1997 season, we’ve managed to convert over to YouTube.

First game is the 1997 Senior As final against Athletic. Some great interviews with players and even footage at the club rooms with Kingi Luke who was club president at the time getting a hair cut 😂😂

Second game was the semi final against Shannon at Paraparaumu domain, great footage, even an interview with Trevor Mason who had the last words.

Give it a watch spread the word, leave a comment and relive the good old days

Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

Big day for the club and a huge thank you to Ryan Shelford who donated his 100th first class game Horowhenua Kapiti jersey.

Shelford began his nua journey in 2009 racking up 116 appearances before hanging the rep footy boots up in 2023

He captained the nua from 2016 to 2023, was a meads cup finalists in 2017 and winning the lochore Cup in 2018.

Shelford is a true club legend racking up 189 appearances for Paraparaumu As also he’s been on fire for the bs in the last couple of years, with his 65mim warm up and 15min cameo. Always answering the sos call.

Big thank you shelford, huge honour for us to have your jersey and it’s also important for our club to see that playing heartland is a special part of New Zealand rugby

Big thanks to Toddy over at Rocka for sponsoring the framing as well. First 10 low carb drinks are on us.

Interesting Monday fact for the club, in 1964 1965 the club was coached by All Black #474 Johnny Simpson.

Johnny moved to the area and owned the Paraparaumu hotel.

Johnny Simpson was known throughout his career and for some time afterwards as "the Iron Man." It was a highly appropriate sobriquet for few props have been as durable and as rugged as this Auckland and All Black of the mid to late 1940s.

Played 30 games 9 tests 21 games.
