🏌️‍♂️ What a day! That’s a wrap on our Outback Surf Shop - Pauanui Beach NZ 3-Person Ambrose! ⛳️

A full field, 18 holes back at Lakes Resort after 9 months — what an incredible feeling! 🙌 The feedback from everyone was awesome, and it was so good to see the course buzzing again.

A massive thank you to our greenkeepers for all the mahi, hard work and dedication you’ve put into getting the course back to where it is. We truly appreciate everything you’ve done. ❤️

🌧️ COURSE CLOSED THIS WEEKEND 🌧️

Due to over 180mm of rain, Lakes Resort Golf Club & Clubhouse will be closed today and for the rest of the weekend.

The course is simply far too wet at the moment, and we don’t want to risk causing any further damage to the course.

We’re hoping for some sunshine and drier conditions next week and look forward to seeing everyone back out on the course! ☀️🏌️‍♂️

It was a chilly one at Lakes Resort this morning, with a decent frost covering the course! 🥶⛳️

A great reminder during these winter months to check our website for updates before heading out, especially for any frost delays. 🌅

🏌️Spring Golf Tournament

Saturday, 12 September

We’re excited to celebrate the reopening of all 18 holes with our Spring Golf Tournament, and we’d love to see you there!

This will be a fun 3-Man Ambrose event with a 10:00 am sh***un start over 18 holes.

Tournament Details:

• ⛳ 3-Man Ambrose
• 🕙 10:00 am sh***un start
• 👥 Two groups of three will play together.
• 📊 Team handicaps are added together and divided by six.
• 🔵 Men play from the blue tees.
• 🟡 Ladies play from the yellow tees.
• 💲 $60 per player.

We’ll have a fantastic prize table, plenty of laughs, and it’s the perfect opportunity to get back out and enjoy all 18 holes again.

⛳ Back Nine Progress Update

The back nine is one step closer! 🙌

The culvert is now in place, and as you can see, this is no small job. It’s fantastic to see the progress being made as we work towards reopening all 18 holes.

🌉 Progress is Happening at Lakes Resort!

It’s been a long wait, but we’re excited to share that work has officially begun on rebuilding the bridge between the 17th fairway and 17th green! 👏

This was never going to be a quick or easy fix. The project requires a massive culvert to be installed before the area can be rebuilt, making it a significant piece of work.

Seeing machinery on site and work underway is a huge milestone and another step towards reopening all 18 holes.

A big thank you to everyone for your patience, understanding and continued support while we’ve worked through this process. We know many of you are looking forward to having the full course back in play, and so are we!
