We're in for in epic 7s season, with our coaches all lock and loaded 🔥

First training is on Wednesday 30th September for all teams - all players welcome, with the first tournament kicking off on the 31st October.

With Morrinsville being the host to two tournament this year - Waikato Rugby Club 7s and our Morrinsville Sports Club 7s its an awesome year to be involved. DM us if you want any more information, otherwise we will see you on the 30th September 💪

A huge congratulations to Toby Spraggon for his success this year - an undefeated season, and then going on to be undefeated in the U15 National Tournament too 🏆

Toby played all his junior rugby for Morrinsville Sports before starting at Hamilton Boys’ High School in 2025. He joined the school’s Rugby Athletic Programme and earned a place in the U14A team, which played up in the Waikato U15 competition and finished last year as undefeated U14 Super 8 champions.

This year, Toby played for the U15A team, which again stepped up an age grade and went through the regular season undefeated to win the Waikato Secondary Schools U17 Division 3 competition.

They then finished the season by winning the U15 National Tournament, going through the entire tournament undefeated.

An outstanding couple of seasons for Toby. We’re incredibly proud to have watched his rugby journey begin at Morrinsville Sports and can’t wait to see where it takes him next. We look forward to welcoming him back into our Colts team in a few years time too🏉

The Morrinsville Sports Pathway Programme is now open 💪

The eight-week programme supports male and female athletes aged 16-21 with their strength, fitness, rugby skills, nutrition, mindset and training habits. It includes a two-month Flex Fitness membership, an individual training programme, weekly sessions and ongoing support from strength and conditioning coaches.

The programme is free for athletes under 18 and $100 for athletes aged 18-21. Spaces are limited to 20. Tag a mate below who would be interested and click the link to learn more and register

Thursday nights just got better 🤝

2026 touch registrations are open now!

Three kick off times at 5:45pm, 6:30pm, 7:15pm. One game per night, with 20-minute halves.
Two grades - Competitive (adults + Yr 9+) or Social/Whānau (adult/kid mix, Yr 8 and below).
Social/Whānau grade will take the 5:45pm and 6:30pm slots.

Here’s what you need to know:
