Manuia le Vaiaso o le Gagana Samoa - Happy Samoan Language Week
This year’s theme for Vaiaso o le Gagana Samoa - Samoa Language Week 2021 is:

Poupou le lotoifale. Ola manuia le anofale which means strengthen the posts of your house, for all to thrive.

When you’re building a foundation for a fale (house) it can’t have a weak foundation or posts. This is the same for the foundations of our families, schools and churches that play an important role in strengthening Gagana Samoa (the Samoan Language). Language is important for the foundations of our overall wellbeing.

This week you will see Pro Sport putting the language in action.

Noaˈia ˈe mạuri gagaj ˈatakoa,

Welcome to Rotuman Language Week! Pro Sport have spent the time learning a new Culture and language to acknowledge the people of Rotuma.

The 2021 Rotuman Language Week theme is Tutur häk ne måur lelei; Four Pillars of Life which include Fak'ata (spiritual), Fakforo (physical), 'Os A'häe (psychological) and Hạikạinagaga (relationship with people).

This theme is a timely reminder that resilience is about more than just physical health – we must also nurture the other aspects that make up our entire beings. We encourage everyone to get involved and take up the Rotuman community’s invitation to nourish our Four Pillars of wellbeing.
