A sad day at Aspen Hills today, with the passing of our matriarch, Star ✨️

At the ripe age of 30, she lived a long and full life. She was small but sassy, super competitive and incredibly kind. She gave her all to everything she did, whether it be racing around the local track often beating our other much bigger horses, or surprising everyone by successfully completing 160km races. She was such a special girl and the farm won't be quite the same without her ❤️‍🩹

Rest in peace to the OG Aspen Hills girl. My ma will be so happy to see you.

Southland entry wins top title at South Island Arabian Horse Championships Julia Latham went to the South Island Arabian Horse Championships hoping to win a ribbon but by the end of competition her entry had won 14 and the overall champion’s title.

Just over 2 years ago Aspen Hills Karma left for Denmark. Less than a week ago I got to see him again, now in Norway where he is currently living with his owner Rikke Sophie Kiær Thygesen. It was such a special experience to not only see him again but get to RIDE him around the hills of Moi (that canter though 😍). Thank you Soph, Thor Erik & Lone for giving him the best loving home possible, he is so obviously happy over this side of the world and that's thanks to you ❤🐴
